Ya, I have point out it is good when finish read the article can direct read the latest comment. If comments/reply is full of discussion for me not suitable to use descending.

For sure no problem with advanced user when reading comments list in decending. Here I just stand on beginner site when reading those comments.

However, I notice that, it is still useful when you have a lot of comments and some of the users may not like to read the previous comments and they also dislike to scroll to bottom to read the latest update. This is also why I add the number of comments at the right hand side as a reference.
